Royal Caribbean International is a brand with an incredible history and unlimited potential. The ships are convincing due to a variety of sport offers and leisure activities for every age group. Particularly the outdoor area offers great experiences with ice rinks or zip lines. However not only the big vessels, but also the smaller ones offer plenty options to have fun in a relaxed atmosphere. In the different restaurants you expect tasty dishes combined with an attentive service. On board, all age groups feel at home. Due to the company’s heritage a basic knowledge in English is recommended. Another thing to take into considerations is that the additional costs are higher than on German ships.
The “Enchantment of the Seas” is a light and friendly ship with large window areas. It was put into service in 1997. It belongs to the successful “Vision” class and offers a broad range of entertainment, great food and an international flair.
Atmosphere on Board
Like all of Royal Caribbean’s ships, the “Enchantment of the Seas” is open for all age groups and for people from all countries. Therefore there is a great mixture of international guests. Overall, the atmosphere is relaxed. On special evenings, formal dress is expected in the main restaurant.
A bottle of wine in the restaurant or at the bar costs from about 25 US-$. All prices are subject to a service fee of around 15 %.
All cabins are furnished very attractively, comfortable and measure between 13 square meters (inside cabins), 14 square meters (outside cabins) up to 95 square meters in the Royal Suite. Many cabins have private balconies.
There are several ways to enjoy the fine cuisine on board. The main restaurant is situated on two decks and offers a great view through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The Windjammer Cafe offers delicious buffets and a wonderful ocean view as well. In the Chops Grille restaurant you can order steaks perfectly cooked to order with matching side dishes for an additional charge. Reservations for this restaurant can be made on board.
Whether you prefer a quiet atmosphere or a party in the disco: from piano music to Broadway style shows to disco there is a huge range of different entertainment offers. On board there are art auctions, the ever-popular bingo games and lectures about the ports of call.
Sports and Leisure
The ship offers a large fitness area with stunning ocean views, a swimming pool with a relaxation area (“solarium”), many sports classes (partly for a fee) such as Aerobics or Pilates, a sauna and a steam room (separated by gender). A wide range of wellness and beauty treatments are offered in the spa as well.
Besides, there are further pools and whirlpools on deck which invite you to swim and bathe.
The “Enchantment of the Seas” is a very nice cruise ship with great offers on board such as a “Bungee Trampoline”, miniature golf or a climbing wall high above the sea. Almost everything is possible on board. The food is good and plentiful. The audience is international and the main language on board is English. Overall, you can expect a professionally organized cruise experience of good quality.
